PETALING JAYA: Seorang warga emas berputih mata apabila hanya mendapat pulangan RM4,000 selepas melabur lebih RM500,000 dalam pelaburan matawang kripto. Ketua Polis Johor Bahru Utara, Balveer Singh Mahindar Singh, berkata mangsa berusia 61 tahun sebelum itu ditawarkan membuat pelaburan terbabit daripada seorang wanita warga asing media sosial pada Jun lalu. Katanya, wanita yang menggunakan nama ‘Sakura Gi Haruko’ itu didakwa menjanjikan pulangan keuntungan 0.8% daripada jumlah modal dilaburkan. “Mangsa yang tertarik dengan keuntungan dijanjikan, memuat turun dua aplikasi dan melakukan 32 transaksi ke 19 akaun bermula 23 Jun sehingga 17 November lalu, dengan jumlah keseluruhan RM533,000. “Mangsa hanya menerima keuntungan RM4,000 dalam tempoh itu,” katanya dalam kenyataan hari ini, menurut Berita Harian. Balveer Singh berkata mangsa hanya menyedari ditipu apabila diminta membuat bayaran tambahan untuk mengeluarkan hasil keuntungan. Katanya, mangsa kemudiannya membuat laporan polis di IPD Johor Bahru Utara, semalam. “Kes disiasat di mengikut Seksyen 420 Kanun Keseksaan. “Siasatan juga akan meliputi pembabitan keldai akaun jika ada dan tindakan akan diambil terhadap pemilik akaun terbabit,” katanya.
