Mereka yang melanggar larangan ini boleh dikenakan denda 1,000 franc Switzerland (USD1,100). Pada 6 Nov, kerajaan Switzerland menetapkan tarikh pelaksanaan undang-undang itu pada 1 Jan 2025. Keputusan ini diambil selepas satu referendum dimulakan rakyat Switzerland, pada 7 Mac 2021. Larangan ini tidak terpakai di dalam pesawat, premis diplomatik atau konsul, tempat keagamaan, atau dalam situasi di mana tidak menutup wajah boleh mendatangkan risiko kepada kesihatan atau keselamatan, atau mengganggu adat tempatan. Pesalah boleh didenda 100 franc jika membayar segera atau 1,000 franc jika enggan membayar di tempat kejadian. News
