Talk to us now, Armizan tells prospective allies Posted on 10/11/2024 GRS deputy secretary-general Armizan Mohd Ali said any electoral cooperation will be decided after taking into account the views of all coalition partners. PAPAR: Any party wishing to cooperate with Gabungan Rakyat Sabah need not wait for the next Sabah state assembly elections to be called, deputy secretary-general Armizan Mohd Ali said today. He said anyone wishing to form an alliance should begin now, ahead of the state elections expected next year. “There is still a year left, so work with the government now. Show your sincerity,” he said after a visit to Kampung Suangon here today. He said any electoral cooperation with other parties will be decided by the GRS Supreme Council after taking into account the views of all parties involved in the coalition. The GRS alliance comprises Parti Gagasan Rakyat Sabah, Parti Maju Sabah, Parti Bersatu Sabah, Parti Solidariti Tanah Airku (STAR), Usno, Harapan Rakyat, the Liberal Democratic Party and Parti Cinta Sabah. On Monday, GRS chairman Hajiji Noor said a committee would be set up to discuss the elections with partners and allies, particularly Pakatan Harapan. Barisan Nasional – which is in the opposition in Sabah – and GRS have both said they would work with PH. However, STAR and PBS have said local parties must dominate the state government. Warisan has also said it was open to working with local parties. News
