(Facebook pic) GEORGE TOWN: Former Penang assemblyman Lee Hack Teik has died. He was 72. The senior MCA man, who was last a state committee member in the 2013 term, died at his home in Zoo Road, Ayer Itam, at about 8pm yesterday, Kwong Wah Yit reported. Penang MCA chief Tan Teik Cheng said Lee’s death was a great loss to the party as well as the Pengkalan Kota constituents whom he had served for three consecutive terms. Tan said Lee had remained an active member after losing the seat during the 2008 political tsunami that swept across the country. “He continued going to the ground after his loss. Even up to last week, we had met and discussed ideas to make the party strong in Penang,” he told FMT. Lee, first elected to the Pengkalan Kota state seat in 1995, served three consecutive terms, winning again in 1999 and 2004. News
