PETALING JAYA: Persatuan Badminton Malaysia (BAM) melantik Norza Zakaria sebagai presiden kehormat seumur hidup. Pengumuman itu dibuat oleh pemangku presiden BAM V Subramaniam pada sidang media selepas mesyuarat majlis BAM di Akademi Badminton Malaysia, Bukit Kiara, hari ini. “(Pelantikan ini dibuat) mengikut perlembagaan (BAM) dan dipersetujui sebulat suara oleh pihak pengurusan dan majlis,” katanya. Terdahulu, Norza berkhidmat sebagai presiden BAM dari 2017 hingga 24 Ogos lepas. Disember lepas, Norza mengumumkan rancangannya untuk meletak jawatan, dengan menamakan Menteri Pelaburan, Perdagangan dan Industri Tengku Zafrul Aziz sebagai pengganti pilihannya. Bagaimanapun, susulan permintaan Menteri Belia dan Sukan Hannah Yeoh agar mempertimbangkan keputusan itu, Norza bersetuju kekal sebagai presiden BAM sehingga selepas Sukan Olimpik Paris. News
