KUALA LUMPUR: Bekas peguam negara Idrus Harun antara empat individu dilantik sebagai ahli Suruhanjaya Pelantikan Kehakiman (JAC) yang baharu bagi tempoh dua tahun mulai 1 Nov lalu. Turut dilantik ialah bekas hakim Mahkamah Persekutuan Zainun Ali, bekas peguam besar Sarawak Talat Mahmood Abdul Rashid dan Pensyarah Undang-Undang Universiti Teknologi Mara (UiTM) Hartini Saripan. Pejabat Setiausaha Suruhanjaya Pelantikan Kehakiman dalam kenyataan memaklumkan Perdana Menteri Anwar Ibrahim melantik mereka sebagai ahli suruhanjaya berkenaan mengikut subseksyen 5(1)(f) Akta Suruhanjaya Pelantikan Kehakiman 2009. “Pelantikan ini adalah bagi tempoh dua tahun berkuat kuasa mulai 1 Nov 2024 hingga 31 Okt 2026,” menurut kenyataan itu. Pelantikan baharu itu bagi menggantikan Md Raus Sharif, Suriyadi Halim Omar, Abdul Razak Tready dan Shamrahayu Ab Aziz yang tamat lantikan pada 3 Sept 2024. Menurut kenyataan itu, JAC merakamkan penghargaan dan terima kasih atas perkhidmatan Raus, Suriyadi, Razak dan Shamrahayu sepanjang tempoh mereka menjadi ahli suruhanjaya. News
