PETALING JAYA: Indeks jisim badan (BMI) kurang daripada 28 perlu dipenuhi untuk dipertimbang naik pangkat, kata Ketua Polis Negara Razarudin Husain. Katanya, berkata syarat BMI itu antara kriteria ditambah bagi memastikan proses kenaikan pangkat menjadi lebih ketat. “Inisiatif ini penting untuk memastikan kesihatan dan kemahiran anggota polis. “Sekali gus meningkatkan keupayaan menyampaikan perkhidmatan terbaik kepada masyarakat dan negara,” katanya menurut Berita Harian pada satu majlis di di Kuala Lumpur. Beliau berkata, polis juga telah memperkasakan proses kenaikan pangkat agar lebih telus, adil, dan memberi peluang sama rata. “Dasar kenaikan pangkat pegawai kanan polis ditambah baik melalui pelaksanaan e-Kursus dan Penilaian Kompetensi Dalam Talian (PeKAT). “Ia bertujuan membendung isu pilih kasih, tohmahan dan memastikan pemilihan calon sesuai, cekap dan layak,” katanya.
