(Gambar Facebook) ALOR SETAR: Kediaman rasmi menteri besar Kedah di Seri Mentaloon turut terjejas akibat bencana banjir. Pegawai khas menteri besar, Helmi Khalid, berkata perkarangan kediaman itu mula dinaiki air dari Sungai Anak Bukit awal pagi tadi. “Air mula memasuki kuarters kediaman petugas yang terletak tidak jauh dari tepi sungai berkenaan, kemudian paras air terus meningkat hingga memasuki bahagian ruang tamu, dapur dan ruang makan… setakat ini paras air di bahagian dapur mencecah 0.5 meter. “Buat masa ini, Sanusi Nor dan keluarga masih tinggal di kediaman rasmi setinggi dua tingkat itu,” katanya. Beliau berkata setakat ini banjir tidak menjejaskan surau, Dewan Melur dan Dewan Seri Mentaloon yang terletak dalam pekarangan kediaman. “Ini bukan kali pertama Seri Mentaloon dinaiki air kerana ia pernah berlaku semasa kejadian banjir besar pada 2010 dan banjir pada Sept lepas turut menyebabkan limpahan air ke kediaman rasmi cuma keadaan kali ini lebih teruk,” katanya.
