The party’s information chief, Fahmi Fadzil, announced this in a statement today. “The leadership has decided to postpone the PKR National Congress 2024 to a later date, which will be announced in due course,” he said. While the national congress has been delayed, Fahmi said a special congress will take place in a hybrid format to amend the party’s constitution. He said the exact date will be disclosed later by PKR secretary-general Fuziah Salleh. Fahmi also said the central leadership council had agreed to mobilise party members for flood relief efforts and post-flood cleanup activities. “The PKR leadership also expressed its sympathy to more than 131,000 flood victims in nine states as of today,” he said. The leadership also discussed recent bullying cases in schools and higher education institutions and proposed a nationwide anti-bullying awareness campaign. News
