(Bernama pic) PETALING JAYA: Naimah Khalid, the widow of former finance minister Daim Zainuddin, has urged the attorney-general and Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) not to discontinue the ongoing prosecution against Daim at the sessions court. Naimah said it was Daim’s wish that the trial on his alleged failure to disclose assets reach its conclusion. “There is no need for the AG or MACC chief to review, discontinue or withdraw the prosecution against Daim. We do not seek it,” she said in a statement. She also accused Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim of using Daim’s death as an opportunity to avoid accountability for “repeated public slander” against the former finance minister. MORE TO COME News
