Group demands action over killing of dog, 6 puppies Posted on 03/01/2025 The protesters with their placards outside a school in Sungai Buloh, demanding that authorities reopen their investigations into the incident. (Rajesh Nagarajan pic) PETALING JAYA: About 50 protesters gathered outside a school in Sungai Buloh today, demanding justice for the killing of a dog and her six puppies. The protesters, holding placards with slogans such as “Stop The Killings”, expressed their anger and called for action against a school worker allegedly responsible for the deaths. About 30 policemen stood by to ensure that there was no commotion. The death of the dogs, which reportedly took place on Nov 29 last year, came to light after animal activist Siti Fauziah shared the incident on TikTok. The founder of Fauziah Paws Care claimed that a school employee had struck the dog and her puppies in the school compound, leading to their deaths. She lodged a police report on Nov 30. Lawyer and animal rights activist Rajesh Nagarajan, who was present at today’s gathering, told FMT they are urging the Attorney-General’s Chambers to charge the person responsible for the deaths of the dogs. Rajesh claimed that police arrested a man who confessed to the killings, but ended their investigation after the AGC decided not to press charges. He said they are now calling for the investigation to be reopened by both the AGC and the Sungai Buloh police. “The people protested in the pouring rain this morning, they deserve an answer,” he said, adding that they would hold another protest at the AGC’s office in Putrajaya in two to three weeks if their demands were not met. FMT has reached out to Sungai Buloh police for comment, but they did not respond immediately. News
